Kennebunkport is a city having a population of 3,720 located in the York County of the Maine region. Kennebunkport comes under the Portland- South Portland–Biddeford Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The center of the town is situated along the Kennebunk River which about a mile away from the mouth of river on the ocean. The village is historically a fishing and shipbuilding village but in the recent decade it has become a popular tourist destination.
This is a small district of art galleries, gift shops, seafood restaurants and in all a great place to relax and enjoy. The city has reputation of being an upscale community with all credits to the number of large seaside estates as well as Ocean avenues and additional coastal thoroughfares.
The summer months sees rich people coming to this place from the Northeast vacation and nearby Goose Rocks Beach. Kennebunkport is considered to be one among the most expensive holiday areas in the northeast.
