Madawaska is a beautiful town situated in Aroostook County in Maine. The population of the town, as per the 2000 census was 4,534. This town is directly opposite to Edmundston in Madawaska County in New Brunswick. Approximately 83.4 percent residents of this town speak French language.

Madawaska town is also the northernmost town in New England and is also the northeastern town in the Continental United States. This town is a rural town and its economy is centered on the paper industry. This town is also home of a large annual Acadian festival.

The town experiences cold weather in the winters and summers is warmer and dry too. The town gets almost 36 inches of rain per year. The snowfall is 94 inches and the number of days with measurable precipitation is 134. On a whole, the average sunny days are 161 in Madawaska. July month is considered as the hottest month with 77 degrees Fahrenheit and January with coldest month with almost -3 degrees Fahrenheit.
