Tourist Guide Old Orchard Beach
Old Orchard Beach is a town situated in York County in Maine in the United States. The town lies on the inner side of Saco Bay on the Atlantic Ocean and is popular for its seven mile long beach. The town covers a total area of 7.6 sq miles and has a population of 9,371 as per the 2007 census, most of who are Whites.
The town has a cold climate with an average snowfall of 46 inches per year. January is the coldest month and July the warmest. The town gets 45 inches of rainfall annually which can make it humid but not for long.The Ocean park music festival in July and August is enjoyed with light music at the temple. There are several annual events such as the Lobster Dip, Beerfest, Memorial Day Parade, Sandcastle contest, Seaside Art festival and others held at Old Orchard Beach especially in the summer.
