Old Orchard Beach: Attractions and more...

The 7 mile stretch of sandy beach is one of the major attractions here as the earliest history of this beach dates back to 1653. Now this place is a summer resort and has several residential properties and beachfront hotels built near the beach. There are several campgrounds on the beach some of which have an outdoor theater, a deer and elk farm, a miniature golf course, shuffleboard, video arcade, basketball, volleyball and more. During the summer there are fireworks and a concert held at the Ocean Park, also known as Chautauqua by the sea, and is the perfect place for a family holiday.
There are programs for families, kids as well as individuals. The surrounding forest land and marshes are some of the national treasures worth exploring. Palace Play land is a beachfront amusement park at Old Orchard Beach which has over 25 rides and attractions.
