The Castle Tucker was built in 1807 on top of a hill overlooking the Sheepscot River. The historic building has a vivid record of Wiscasset history. Built by Judge Silas Lee in a federal style mansion, the building was passed by his wife after his death to a succession of hands until 1858. Captain Richard Tucker, the scion of a Wiscasset shipping family, bought this property and updated the interiors. His daughter’s dedication had preserved this building as it appeared in late 19th century.
