Cape Neddick lighthouse is a lighthouse located in York, Maine, United States. It was constructed and put to use on July 1, 1879. The tower is lined with bricks and sheathed with cast iron. It stands about 41 ft tall but the height is about 88 ft above sea level as it is located on the steep rocky cleavage.It is one of the most preserved historic monuments in York. Nubble light is a famous American idol. The voyager spacecraft includes a photo of Nubble light with images of Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal.
