The Anne Arundel County Public Library is headquarted in Annapolis. This library serves the people of the Maryland County which is situated along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. It has system having 15 branches and offers a wide selection of resources to the residents. Founded in 1921, the library has more than 1 million items and the staff responds to 300,000 inquiries each year from the public. There are also provision of story time programs for children and literacy materials for adult new readers.
