Arnold is a census designated place, CDP, in Anne Arundel County in Maryland. This place is located on the scenic Broadneck .
The early settlers of Arnold began with a farm acquired by John Arnold. He was a veteran of the 1812 war. This farm was spread over 300 acres of land on the North side of the Severn River.
As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 13.4 square miles of which 10.8 square miles is land and the other part, 2.6 square miles is water.
