Camp Springs is an unincorporated area and a census designated place situated in Prince George’s County in Maryland.  This community was settled at first in mid 19th century and was named after the name of its post office.

The population of this CDP was 17,968 people as per the 2000 census. As of 2009, Camp Spring’s population has reached almost to 18,054 people.  And since 2000, it has had a population growth of -0.75 percent. 

Camp Springs experiences 40 inches of rainfall and 20 inches of snowfall each year. The number of days having measurable precipitation is 110 days.  Overall, this CDP gets 205 sunny days per year. The month of July is warmest month of the year with 86 degree Celsius. On the other hand, the month of January is coldest month of the year with 25 degree Celsius.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 7.3 square miles of land. Its elevation is 266 feet.
