Oblate House was a school built in 1829 by Elizabeth Clarissa Lange an immigrant from Haiti. This Christian site is 171 years old and in 1831, four women took vows to become the 1st congregation of the African American nuns in this place. Spring Grove Alumni Museum is a historical museum which displays a collection of photographs and drawings of the history of the hospital. The place has some old medical equipment, a small library and period furniture along with documents related to the hospital.
Townsend House & Pullen Museum is another historical museum which is housed in a Manor house. The Pullen museum was once the workshop of an antique dealer and now is the headquarters of the Catonsville Historical Society. The Townsend House includes several antiques of the 18th and 19th centuries as well as other collections.
