Tourist Guide Chesapeake Beach
Located in the county of Calvert, Maryland United States, the Chesapeake Beach spans over an area of 7.2 square Km. Grown on the crossing of Chesapeake Bay and Fishing Creek the city has quite and distant beaches, some very good restaurants offering mouth watering seafood.
Commercial and US navy vessels apart from pleasure crafts dock at the creek are located in the city. Large sandstone cliffs known as Randle Cliffs and woods can be seen at the southern extension.
Some of the cliffs range up to the height of 180 feet and one can find debris sandstone due to the constant sea erosion.
The city has moderate climate with average precipitation in January and June. The Average annual temperature at Chesapeake ranges from ranges between 39.7 and 74.9 degree Fahrenheit.
The population of Chesapeake as per 2000 census was 3180 people.
