Roland Park was the first planned “Suburban” community in the city. It was developed between 1890 and 1920 and was known as the upper class streetcar suburb. This neighborhood is home to many elite private schools like the Roland Park Country School and many more.  St.Mary’s Seminary and University is also located in Roland Park. There is also Baltimore Light Rail’s Cold spring Lane Station which is simply a walking distances of the neighborhood across the Jones Falls Expressway to the west.

The Dundalk-Patapsco neck historical society museum has some permanent display that depicts a living room in the late 1800s. There are artifacts and photographs on displays in this museum.  There are also a lot of programs which includes tours at the museum. The Museum is open from Monday to Friday between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs. And on Saturdays between 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs.
