Elkridge was founded in the 18th century and it is located at Howard country in the United States. It is situated between Anne Arundel and Baltimore countries. In the northern side of the country is Catonsville, the east side is bordered by Lithicum and Washington International Airport, Dorsey is on the south and Ellicott City on the west. Elkridge country has many historic Churches including the Melville Church that as built in 1772 and Augustine Church which was built in 1845. The key element of the city’s growth was the Patapsco River. The country has a very good history of industries which include Cotton milling, Basket weaving, Paper, Pig iron Forging and B&O which also provided a large number of employment to the people of the country. The total population of the country as calculated in year of 2000 was around 22,042. According to US Census the total area of the city is 7.9 sq mi and a major portion is covered by land except for the Patapsco River and its small Tributaries.
