Tourist Guide Ellicott City
The Howard County’s county seat, Ellicott City is located in the Maryland State and is a census-designated place in the US. As per CNN money and Money magazine the city in 2008 had been ranked as the 8th Best Place to Live in the United States. One of the most affluent city’s in American community, it is the 3rd wealthiest county as per the US Census Bureau.
The total population of the area in 2000 was a total of 56,397 people. The community spans over an area of 83.1 square KM. It is claimed that like Rome the city is also built on the seven hills. The hills lie in the Historic District on the banks of river Patapsco which is towards the southeast end.
The Ellicott City sees 213 sunny days in a year. The temperature in July is a bit high at around 87 degrees wile in January it averages at 23 degrees.
