A town in Montgomery County, Glen Echo in Maryland was chartered in the year 1904. The town derives its name from Edward and Edwin Baltzley, the two brothers who came up with this name around 1880. They purchased land along the Potomac River from Cabin John Creek.
By 2000, its population had reached 242 people. And by 2009, it reached to 250 people. Its elevation feet are 135 feet.
This beautiful town is popular for its Chautauqua cultural events and also its amusement park, Glen Echo Park, which is at present, a US National Park.
