Cannonball House
The manor is historic; it was built in the early 19th century. The styling of the home is of Federal style. With a side-hall double-parlor design on a corner lot, it was constructed for shipbuilder William Merchant. It is historically important for an 1813 event in the War of 1812, a cannonball embedded in the house, by the British convoy when they attacked Saint Michaels.
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum
It is a habitat for the collection of vessels, exhibits and artifacts of Chesapeake Bay. This interactive museum, spread over 18-acre of land was founded in 1965 on Navy Point. Another feature of the Museum is that it offers 12 months of educational seminars and workshops.
