Waldorf is an incorporated community as well as a census designated place in Charles County, Maryland. Almost 37 kilometres to the south-southeast of Washington, DC, the city was originally known as “Beantown”.  Sights worth visiting for a tourist are the St. Charles Towne Centre, Dr. Samuel Mudd House & Museum, the Atlantic Golf course other than the Ridge Meadow Golf Course and other sights.
