A census designated place and an unincorporated community, Waldrof is located in Charles County, Maryland, United States of America. It is located at a distance of 23 miles from Washington DC in the South Southeast Direction. The town was located as a village crossroads and was known as “Beantown”. To the south of Waldrof is St. Charles, to the north is Prince George's County and towards west is Bennsville. To the eastern side of the town are Cedarville State Forest, Brandywine, Malcolm and Bryantown.
As per the census of 2000 the total population of the area was 22,311. The village was a principally a tobacco market in early days. In 1949 when the slot machines were legalized the place shot to prominence. The gambling boom in the town endured till 1968. From 1970 the community saw a substantial growth as a residential community.
Total 55 inches of precipitation occurs in the city in a year in the form of rain and snowfall. The month of July is with 89 degree of temperature while the month of January is cold with 25 degree of temperature.
