The Carroll County Arts Council is an exhibition area in a theatre which was formally called the Carroll theatre. This art deco building has a theatre with a 263 seating capacity and the Tevis Gallery which houses various paintings and art collections of regional artists from various fields. The gallery is open from 10 am to 4 pm except on Sundays. Carroll County Farm Museum is an agricultural museum with a crafts centre and children’s activities. The museum displays the life of the rural people in the mid 19th century. The museum grounds has various displays including a broom shop, wagon shed, one room school house, bank barn, farmhouse built in 1852-53, saddles, springhouse, living history centre and a general store with handcrafted souvenirs. Union Mills Homestead was owned by the Shriver family who operated several mills in this area and carried out a canning business.
