This is another famous historic site situated 1.5 miles from Allston. This structure was built in 1759 and served as George Washington’s headquarters from 1775 to 1776. The house was also the residence of the poet H. W. Longfellow who wrote many poems and books. The place has a wide collection of original furnishings, books, CDs, art work from across the world and Afro American poetry translations. There are 18th and 19th century games available for children as well.
