Located in the Middlesex County, Arlington is a town in Massachusetts in United States, which is around six miles northwest of Boston. The town was actually settled by the European Colonists in the year 1635, whereas it was incorporated in the year 1807.The name Arlington was given to the city in the year 1867 in the honor of those people who were buried in the Arlington National Cemetery.

The city has got a population of around 42,389. Arlington is bordered by many towns, from amongst them are the Winchestes in the north, Medford in the north-east, Somerville in the east, Cambridge in the southeast, Lexington in the west and Belmont in the south.
 
There are many famous personalities that the city can boast of and present list of residents like the actor Michael Bowman (featured in the film – Me, Myself and Irene), the governor of Massachusetts belong to arlington, the poet Robert Creeley and many others.
