Billerica is a town situated in Middlesex County in Massachusetts in USA. The city covers a total area of 26.4 square miles out of which 25.9 sq miles is land. The city had a population of 42,038 inhabitants as per the 2007 census, most of who are Caucasian. The town lies to the northwest of Boston and has Lowell to the south. The town was mainly agricultural till the 19th century after which a major mill complex was situated in the town. The cost of living in the city is 15.16% higher than that of the US average.
