Brookline is a town situated in Norfolk County in Massachusetts in USA. The town is surrounded by Newton to the west and Boston to the north, south and east. The town covers a total area of 6.8 sq miles and has a population of 54,809 inhabitants as per the 2007 census.
Brookline has a mix of suburban and urban living along with its upscale shops, parks, large estates and apartment buildings. The town has a strong Jewish culture and has numerous synagogues spread all throughout the areas of Harvard Street. The entire town has an attractive landscape with an abundance of trees and wild shrubs. Despite its development the region has maintained its greenery. A number of summer homes were built in Brookline by the elite who lived in the nearby Boston region.
