The birthplace of John F. Kennedy is one of the tourist attractions here and is included in the National Register of Historic Places. Larz Anderson Park covers an area of 64 acres and houses the Larz Anderson Auto Museum which displays some of the oldest automobile collections in the country. The park also houses the Putterham School from the colonial times. The Country Club is a well known sports club famous for golf and has been used thrice as the venue for the U.S. Opens.
The Coolidge Corner is one of the districts in Brookline which has a number of historically significant places such as the Coolidge Corner Theatre and the S.S. Pierce Building. A number of pedestrian shopping areas such as Washington Square, Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, Brookline Village and Cleveland Circle can be visited for its malls, restaurants and variety of retail stores. The Edward Devotion House is one of the oldest structures in the town and a number of meetings of the Brookline Historical Society are held here till date.
