Putnam House
Putnam House is one of the historic houses in Danvers. Right now, this birthplace of ‘Major General Israel Putnam’ is being operated by ‘Danvers Historical Society’. This house had been in to ownership of ‘Putnam family’ for around 300 years. The year 1991 witnessed handing over of its ‘stewardship’ to Danvers Historical Society.

Derby Summer House
This summer house is better known as ‘Mclntire Tea-House’. It was designed by Samuel Mclntire in the year 1793. At present, Derby House opens on to a rose garden (walled). It has been designed by none other than ‘Herbert Browne’. It should be noted that none of the 2 statues on the top of house are ‘originals’. In the year 1968, it got included in the list of ‘National Historic landmarks’. The reaper couldn’t sustain the storm that had taken place in the year 1981. It’s now in collection of Danvers Historical Society.
