Dorchester can be referred to as Boston’s neighborhood; located in Massachusetts, US. The name ‘Dorchester’ has been derived from town of ‘Dorchester’ present in Dorset, an English county. It was the place from which Puritans went on to emigrate. Its incorporation as a separate town took place in the year 1630. The credit of rapid growth in Dorchester goes to two things: streetcar and railroad. As a result, population increased many fold. At present, it’s a huge, diverse community belonging to the working class with several African Americans, European Americans, Latinos, Caribbean Americans, and South-east and East Asian Americans. Dorchester is regarded as a center relating to ‘Irish American immigration’.
The climate of this place is quite conducive to be a tourist destination. It would be advisable to visit in summer. One would thoroughly enjoy then.
