William Clapp House
This historic house is HQ of ‘Dorchester Historical Society’. Moreover, it goes on to contain several items from collections of the society. It was constructed in the year 1806 to host the wedding of ‘William Clapp’. Later, he decided to have devoted his ‘quality time’ to development of pears and farm. This farm is used for commercial purposes right now.
John F. Kennedy Library and Museum
This presidential library as well as museum was conceived and brought in to implementation by I.M.Pei. This construction is official repository with regards to unpublished materials and original papers pertaining to Kennedy Administration. In the year 1979, this library and museum got dedicated to the state by Jimmy Carter, the then President and various members of Kennedy family.
Timings
The museum remains open every single day between 0900 and 1700 hrs; except national holidays.
