The Eastham Windmill is situated in Eastham in Massachusetts. This is considered as the oldest windmill on Cape Cod. Constructed by Eastham resident, Thomas Paine in Plymouth in 1680, this windmill was at first moved to Truro in 1770. However, it was again moved to its present location in 1808. In 1996, a large contribution was made to repair the windmill by a local Boy Scout. In 1999, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. There is a local festival held here in Eastham named as Eastham Windmill Weekend. This fest is held each year since 1977 and takes place the first weekend after Labor Day.
