The Salt Pond Visitor Center is the main service facility for Cape Cod National Seashore. Here, the visitors get to see a museum of natural and cultural history, take a hike on the Nauset Marsh trail and view orientation films. The center offers its visitors tours, guided walks, demonstrations, boat trips and lectures. Here, at the center, there is an outdoor amphitheater from slide show talks to military band concerts. There is a bookstore and an air conditioned auditorium showing films on sea rescues, geology and whaling. The museum has displays on old salt works and whaling with Cape Cod artifacts.
