Falmouth can be described as a town located in county of Barnstable, Massachusetts, US. Moreover, Barnstable County co-extends with ‘Cape Cod’.

Falmouth had first been settled in the year 1660 by ‘English colonists’. Official incorporation took place in the year 1686. The name ‘Falmouth’ has been inspired from Falmouth, Cornwall, England. Sheep husbandry had gained immense popularity due to Merino sheep being introduced.

As per US Census Bureau, area of Falmouth, on the whole, comes out to be 141 sq. Km; out of which 18.7%25 consists of water. This region receives rainfall of around 45 inches every year. Snowfall of around 24 inches occurs. July proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 79 degree F; whereas January to be the coolest; with temperature of around 18 degree F.

According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Falmouth was 32660; with its density being 285 per sq. Km.
