There are a number of parks in the town which one can visit such as the Butterworth Park which has a baseball stadium, a tennis court and a basketball court, the Winch Park, the Cochituate state park, Cushing Park, Callahan state park, Danforth Park and the Framingham Common which has an outdoor stage. Garden in the Woods is a botanical garden with a wide collection of native wildflowers, more than 1600 varieties of plants, and beautiful landscapes.
There are a number of public beaches to visit in the town, for recreation, such as Washakum Beach, the beach at Learned Pond and the Saxonville beach. The Farm Pond is an ideal picnic spot with a municipal skating arena.The Danforth Museum of Art has a permanent collection of paintings and art which display the 19th and 20th century American art and a few art works by the European artists.The Marks Fine Arts Library in the museum has numerous periodicals, reference materials and videos for tourists.
