Longmeadow town is situated in Hampden County in Massachusetts. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. This town was first settled in 1644, and officially incorporated in 1783.

Longmeadow is situated in the western part of the state, to the south of Springfield. As per the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 9.5 square miles, out of which, 9.0 square miles is land and 0.5 square miles is water.
