Longmeadow town is situated in Hampden County in Massachusetts. It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. This town was first settled in 1644, and officially incorporated in 1783.
The population as per the 2000 census was 15, 633 people. In 2009, the population reached to 15,491 people. And since 2000, it has had a population growth of -0.27 percent.
Longmeadow is situated in the western part of the state, to the south of Springfield. As per the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 9.5 square miles, out of which, 9.0 square miles is land and 0.5 square miles is water.
