Martha’s Vineyard is made up of six small towns, namely, West Tisbury, Edgartown, Tisbury, Oak Bluffs, Chilmark and Aquinnah. These places are the major tourist attractions in the city.

Oak Bluffs is famous for ice skating whereas there are beautiful nature trails in Edgartown. Vineyard Haven houses the Lake Tashmoo and the Lagoon, which are famous for their picturesque beauty. The city is also a haven for history lovers as there is much to explore regarding the history of this thousand-year-old place. Martha’s Vineyard is home some architectural masterpieces as well because of the Colonial rule. Menemsha, a small fishing village, is worth visiting when in Chilmark. The historical Gay Heads Cliff and the Gay Heads Lighthouse are must-see sites in Aquinnah.

For the adventure lovers, there are several exciting outdoor activities. The various options include surfing, fishing, kayaking and a number of other island activities.
