Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is a refuge for birds wherein diverse habitats support the wildlife on Plum Island of Massachusetts. The refugee consists of around 4,662 acres of upland and wetland inhabitants which includes sandy beach, dune, bog, freshwater marsh and many such habitats. Established in 1941, this refuge serves as a habitat for migratory waterfowl, and is a significant nesting area for tipping plover and least tern. It’s a significant resting and feeding habitat for wading birds.
