North Dartmouth is a small town located in the county of Bristol in south eastern Massachusetts, United States of America. It is the fifth largest town in the commonwealth and the third largest town in Massachusetts. It is located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Geographically the town of North Dartmouth is located at 41°36’52” north and 70°58’11” west. The town covers a total area of 97.8 square miles out of which 61.6 sq miles is covered by land and the rest 36.3 sq miles is covered by water. It is located at an elevation of 125 ft above sea level. The town has a population of 30,666 individuals with a population density of 498.1 per sq miles as of 2000 census. 90.77%25 of the total population hails from Caucasian origin followed by Afro American with 1.06%25 and a small percentage of mixed races. The town was first established in 1952 by the Puritans who migrated here from Dartmouth, Devon, England. It was incorporated in 1964.
