Rowley can be described as a town located in county of Essex, Massachusetts, US. A small portion of this town includes CDP, i.e. census-designated place of ‘Rowley’.
Originally, Rowley had been settled in the form of plantation by ‘Reverend Ezekiel Rogers’. He was the person who, having come from England; had brought around 20 families; that too, on ship called ‘John of London’. Incorporation on the official basis took place on 4th of September, 1639. Parts of Modern-day Haverhill, Georgetown, and Byfield also got included in it from then onwards.
As per US Census Bureau, area of Rowley on the whole comes out to be 53.3 sq. Km; out of which 9.08%25 consists of water.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Rowley was 5500; with its density being 113.4 per sq. Km. Per capita income with regards to this place was calculated to be $27413.
