Basic purpose behind construction of Wenham Museum is that of protecting, preserving, and interpreting culture and history of North Shore of Boston; apart from artifacts pertaining to childhood and domestic life. This museum got started in the year 1922 with donation of ‘International Doll Collection on the part of Elizabeth Richards Horton to WVIS, i.e. Wenham Village Improvement Society.
