Scituate can be described as a petite sea-coast town located in county of Plymouth, Massachusetts, US.

Scituate lies on ‘Cape Cod Bay’, mid-way between Plymouth and Boston.

Scituate had been settled in the year 1627 by a constellation of people hailing from Plymouth. They were, in turn, supported by immigrants staying in Kent County, England. In the year 1636, this town got incorporated in the form of an exclusive entity.

As per US Census Bureau, area of Scituate on the whole comes out to be 82.4 sq. Km; out of which 45.94%25 consists of water.  This place has been bordered by Massachusetts Bay on the eastern side, Marshfield on the southern side, Hingham and Norwell on the western side; and on northwestern side by Cohasset. Also, Scituate is 19 miles away from Brockton’s north-eastern side.

According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Scituate was 17863; with its density being 401.5 per sq. Km.
