Tourist Guide Seekonk
Seekonk is a town in Bristol County, Massachusetts State, United States. In 1812 it was incorporated from the western half of Rehoboth. It has a total area of 18.4 square miles (47.7 km²) and 0.1 square mile (0.3 km²) of the area is covered with water.With its moderate climate Seekonk is a cool place to live in. It has an average minimum temperature in January of 22.5 degrees and in July it is 62.0 degrees. The average precipitation in January is 2.76 and in July it is 3.83.200 years back the town was filled with farms irrigated by certain groups but a few farms still exist in Seekonk. Businessmen have turned whole farms into housing divisions and the city is home to the communities of people who work in the Rhode Island and Boston areas. By the 21st century it was well known for its retail area along route 6, with movie multiplex restaurants and the famous Seekonk speedway which is a ‘Fast Track” destination for NASCAR.The city has a population of 13,425 as per the census of 2000 and 3,874 families reside in the town. The population density is 733.0 people per square mile. The town has many museums for a visitor which includes Art Museums, History Museums and the Providence Children’s Museum.
