Southborough is a town located in Worcester County, Massachusetts in USA.The town incorporates several smaller villages which are Cordaville, Fayville and Southville. In 1660, Southborough was settled initially and it was incorporated in 1727. The town is extended by Hopkinton to the south, Framingham and Ashland to the east, Westborough and Northborough to the west and Marlborough to the north.As of the 2000 census, the town contains a total population of 8,781; there are 2,952 households and 2,426 families living in town. It has a population density of 620.7 people per square mile. The total area of the city is 15.7 square miles, which contains 14.1 square miles of land and 1.5 square miles of water.Southborough gets 44 inches of rain per year and snowfall of around 55 inches. The cost of living in Southborough is 49.26%25 higher as compared to the U.S. average.Southborough is home to a large private secondary school. St. Mark’s education society founded in 1865 by Joseph Burnett and Fay School is one of the oldest junior boarding schools in the nation founded in 1866.
