Springfield is said to be a large city located on the coast of River Connecticut in the County of Hampden in Massachusetts. It is the 4th largest city in New England and 3rd largest city of Massachusetts.
It is also nicknamed as the birth place of basketball, The Hoop City, The City of Homes and the City of Firsts. James Naismith was the first person to introduce Basketball in Springfield. The famous Quadrangle Museum in Springfield holds the largest collected works of Chinese Cloisonné.
It also features the famous Sculpture Garden which was established to honor famous authors and artists of Springfield. Pennsylvania House, Buck Creek State Park, John Bryan State Park and Springfield Art Museum are some of the interesting places in Springfield.
