Wellfleet Oyster Festival is a fun and an educational community festival which is held every year during the weekend after the Columbus Day in Wellfleet. This event attracts people of all age groups and includes families, locals, visitors and also travelers. This event is held for two consecutive days, with celebration and education about the oysters of the town and clams. The first and foremost Oyster Festival was held in 2001 and it was a significant event arousing incredible amount of community interest and spirit in spreading the word about the delicious fruits of Wellfleet’ s water.
