Wellfleet town is situated in Barnstable County in Massachusetts. Its early settlers were Europeans in 1650s as Billingsgate, and the town was a part of Eastham until 1763.

Wellfleet is popular for its eponymous oysters, which are celebrated in the annual October Wellfleet Oyster Festival.
