Massachusetts has been considered as one of the top 10 whale watching destinations in the world as per the World Wildlife Fund. The best time to watch the whales is from April to October. June to mid September is the high season, while the low season is from November to February. The months of July and August are crowded with tourists, especially in Cape Cod beaches. In Boston, on 4th of July, a major televised event is held, meaning major streets close due to massive crowds. December through February is the most cost effective month worth visiting the state, and is also the coldest months to enjoy the activities.
