Albion is a city situated in the Calhoun County in the Lower Peninsula region of Michigan in the United States. The city covers a total area of 4.5 sq miles and lies 84.7ºW of the prime meridian and 42.2ºN of the equator.
The population of the city was 9,144 as per the 2000 census.
The city has a cold climate and it snows from November to April. The coldest month is January and the warmest month is July.
The city has also been called as ‘The Forks’ as it lies at the junction of the south and north branches of the Kalamazoo River.
The Festival of Forks is celebrated here each year to commemorate the ethnic heritage of Albion city. The aim of the festival is to promote unity among the community, foster economic growth and provide recreation for families, kids and individuals.
