Allen Park is a city in Wayne County in the US State of Michigan. As of 2000 census, the population of the city was 29,376. Allen Park is also a part of the collection of communities which are known as Downriver. As per the United States Census Bureau, this city has a total area of 7.0 square miles, all of which is land.

Allen Park was also incorporated as a village in 1927 and as a city in 1957. This city was named after Lewis Allen who was a well to do lawyer and a lumberman having more than 276 acres of land in Ecorse. Allen Park is home to the Uniroyal Tire, which is the largest tire in the world.
