Bay City is situated at the base of the Saginaw Bay which is on Lake Huron in the state of Michigan. Bay City along with Saginaw and Midland make up a region called the ‘Tri-Cities’. The city covers a total area of 11.3 sq miles and has an elevation of 585 feet. Bay City has a population of 36,817 as per the 2000 census.

The city has lush green forests, rivers, streams and fertile soil for harvesting. The climate is cold with 36 inches of snowfall on an average and 27 inches of rain per year. January is the coldest month and July the warmest. The downtown region of the city along the riverfront offers a number of restaurants, galleries, specialty shops and chain of shops for visitors. There are recreational opportunities as well along the Saginaw River such as biking and walking trails.
