Historical Museum of Bay County explains the development of the Bay County through its various exhibitions pertaining to agriculture, shipbuilding, trade, lumber and the American culture. There are several western hemisphere native art and artifacts displayed along with period furniture.
The Kantzler Maritime Gallery in the museum has a miniature feature of the Saginaw River Rear Range Lighthouse. Saginaw Bay Visitors Center is has an aviary with 100 varieties of birds, nature trails, fishing pier, 300 feet boardwalk, towers, monuments and an observation deck.
Bay City Antique Center is a shop in the downtown region which sells a number of arts and artifacts. A number of events based on the history of the place are held in the city such as the Tall Ship Celebration which is to be held in July 2010, River of Time Living History Encampment in September, Annual Tour of Historic Homes in October, Annual Holiday Parlour Tour in December and Civil War Roundtable which is held each month.
