The Huroc Park is the perfect to visit for nature lovers. The Huron River runs through the park and there are several areas for fishing, walking trails, ice cream venue and playgrounds for children. One can see a variety of birds, game fish as well as squirrels in the park. The gazebo near the river is used for small outdoor functions. Twice a year camping is carried out at this park with people watching open air movies and staying in tents. There a several antique and historical buildings on Gibraltar Road as well as all over the city.
There is a library and a general store converted to a historical museum on this road, now known as the Flat Rock Historical Society. Flat Rock’s Memory Lane has several buildings which one can visit such as the Cornelius G. Munger General Store, Flat Rock Hotel, the Greek Revival Wing, and Langs Wagar House, the Stofflet Carriage House and DT&I Railroad caboose. Supple’s Greenhouse has a huge collection of herbs, vegetables, decorative plants and flowers for sale at reasonable rates.
