Windmill Island features around 240 year old working Dutch windmill known as De Zwaan. This windmill towers over 36 acres of manicured gardens and also canals and picnic areas. There are over 150,000 tulips which bloom in the spring and during the summer season, the annual plants and flowers decorate the garden. During this time, the visitors are greeted by boys and girls who perform old time klompen dance dressed in folk costumes.
